OMVIC Ace uses a small set of cookies and browser storage. Here's the complete list and what each does.

Strictly necessary storage

These make the product work and can't be switched off while using it:

  • omvic-theme (localStorage) — remembers your light/dark preference
  • omvic-user (localStorage) — your account/profile details on this device
  • Study progress keys (localStorage) — chapters completed, quiz history, flashcard state, notes and bookmarks
  • Session flags (sessionStorage) — e.g., remembering you dismissed a banner this visit

Analytics (optional)

When enabled, we use privacy-respecting configurations of Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used (pages, device type, approximate region, interaction patterns). IP anonymization is on where supported. These help us find confusing pages and fix them.

Marketing pixels (optional)

If we run ads, conversion pixels (e.g., Meta, LinkedIn) may set cookies to measure whether ads led to signups. They load only where configured and permitted.

Controlling cookies

You can clear or block cookies and site data through your browser settings at any time — the study features that rely on local storage will reset accordingly. Most browsers also support extensions for granular blocking. Do-Not-Track and Global Privacy Control signals are respected for optional categories.
